Ouch!

Poor Caden got his first BIG boo-boo this past weekend. He fell and hit his little head on the lower corner of the breakfast bar. I'm not sure who was scared more, Mommy or Caden. After some sad tears, we took Caden to urgent care and got him all fixed up. He was a tough little guy.

After a little special glue and tape, we were back home and playing.

Disneyland

How do I choose what pictures to post??? I can't! So WARNING...there are a lot of pictures to view. :) As you can see we had a wonderful vacation visiting Disneyland and were lucky enough to have three full days to spend in the parks. It was not too many days and actually made us feel like we didn't have to rush to do everything. This was the boys' first visit and we had so much fun enjoying all of the excitement through their eyes.

First Mickey Mouse ears!

YEAH! We found Mickey...brother was napping.

Caden absolutely LOVED the Jungle Cruise. He was so amazed by all of the "wildlife" and this picture perfectly captures how taken he was by the ride.

James and I both got our final Baby Bjorn snuggles with Caden.

Nana and Papa were able to enjoy Disneyland with us and had a blast with the boys.

Enjoying It's a Small World as a family.

See ya soon Dumbo!!!

We look forward to our next visit to Disneyland!

THREE!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ethan!

3 Months Old

I'm One!

I'm Two!

THREE!!!!

Ethan loves to play outside and especially loves to 'work' in the yard with Daddy. He is still fascinated with "BIG TRACTORS"....which is the name of any construction related vehicle. Some of his favorite phrases are "I do it", "I need that", and "OH MY GOSH". We are having lots of fun and look forward to what I am calling (and hoping for) the Terrific Threes!!!

Happy Birthday Ethan! We LOVE you bunches!!!!!!!!!!

Party Time!

Well of course we had to honor our little man with his first birthday party. (Yes, party was a few weeks ago but couldn't miss this post!) This time around we had a small party in our backyard. My goal was to keep it simple and fun, but at the last minute I took on some party projects that seemed simple in thought, but a little more time consuming than expected (well worth it though). The kids enjoyed a bounce house while the adults braved an EXTREMELY windy afternoon. Caden was spoiled with lots of love and survived his big day!
Birthday Boy!

Just beginning to dig in!

Ahhhh...yes, this is good stuff!

Let the jumping begin!

-Giant Rice Krispy Treat Cupcakes-
(One of my "simple" thoughts...I made 7 of them just for decoration!)

-Small Rice Krispy Treat Cupcakes-
(Edible favors...another "simple" thought)

-Cupcakes-
(Nope, didn't make these. Truly Simple!)

-Windows of Caden-

-Present Time-
He loved the tissue paper!

We can't believe we now have a one year old and almost three year old!!!!

What a FUN, FUN day!

ONE!

Happy Birthday Caden!
Yes, our little babe has turned ONE! Again, I am amazed at how quickly a year can fly by. It seems like just yesterday I was holding my little 6lb 6oz baby in my arms for the first time. I was in love again and could not believe I was now a mother to two precious boys.
What a special day March 26th was and will always be. Here's to a beautiful year...

Just minutes old taking in a whole new world

First Visit

Today was a big day for Ethan. He had his first dental visit and we had know idea how he would react to the event. We started off by having Ethan watch Daddy get his teeth cleaned to help prepare for his turn. Of course he wasn't too interested in what was happening, he preferred digging through my purse in search of things that he couldn't have. :)

Finally it was Ethan's turn. He sat in the chair like such a big boy and enjoyed 'riding' the chair up and down a few times. We were pleasantly surprised at how well he did during the cleaning. The only thing he didn't like was the sucker straw (what is that thing called?) because the air was cold. We are proud to say he was cavity free! Yeah! And...can you believe he's already asking to go back???
