The Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants

HILARIOUS!
This morning Ethan decided that he was going to try and fit into a pair of brother's jeans. As I watched him begin to put one leg in I thought to myself, no way will he be able to get these size 6-12 month jeans on. Especially since Ethan outgrew them in the waist when he was probably less than 10 months old. (For those of you that knew Ethan when he was a little babe, he was quite the chunker!)
These were the little jeans on Ethan when he was 6 months old.

Same jeans on brother this morning-10 1/2 months old.

And....yes, believe it or not they still fit Ethan.

Although they have a new look of course.

We were even able to button them. I was in shock!

I could not stop laughing once he got them on. He thought it was pretty funny too. Gotta love these moments!

Two Month Snapshot

Okay, I know there are a couple of faithful readers out there who have missed us. Good news...we are back! I thought it would be fun to share what we've been doing over these past couple of months...and I am hoping there won't be these kind of gaps in the future! :)

Waaaaay back in December.......we joined our neighbors and went downtown to the Christmas Electrical Parade. It was pretty chilly, but we packed on the layers and had a great time! We will definitely make this an annual event!

Brother stayed very cozy and loved looking at all of the pretty lights.

Annual Christmas party with dear friends....look at all of those munchkins!

Oops, our only family Christmas photo taken Christmas Eve afternoon. Did this happen to anyone else? Note to self: next year take family pictures first!!!

Christmas Morning....I love these little men! What a blessing!

We've had lots of fun playing with all of our new toys!

Ding...Dong...

Adventures to Pump it Up...I love the pop in playtime!

Can you see his static-crazy hair?

Caden's first tooth

And last, but most definitely not least....

Yes! We are now using the big potty!! Wooooo Hooooo!

These past couple of months have been busy and fun! We cannot believe 2009 is here and look forward to what the year will bring. We wish you and your family a safe, healthy, and joyous New Year!!!

Big Brother Helps Out

Today Ethan wanted to help feed baby brother. So even though I could get the job done A LOT quicker and with less mess, I thought I'd allow him to "help" mommy out. Here are a few pics of how it all went...

Great Technique!
Scooping the food that didn't quite make it into the mouth.

Not too messy! Pretty good for a rookie!

And of course....a little taste for myself. (I think he liked it too!!)

Well it looks like Ethan is now qualified to take over all meals while mommy takes a break! :) Heck, I can even leave some extra baby food and Ethan's meals will be taken care of as well. Hee Hee

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My 1st Thanksgiving!!! I even had my first taste of turkey meat (baby food of course) on Thanksgiving Day. Not a big fan! :)

8 Months Old

Our little baby boy is 8 months old today! Again...it is flying by and we are doing our best to cherish each moment. Caden is such a happy boy and already makes friends when we are out and about. There have been so many times that I'll look down at him in his carseat or stroller and see a big grin on his face. I'll wonder 'what is he smiling at??' Then I'll see that he has made eye contact with someone and they are smiling at each other. It is the sweetest thing!
There are not too many things that upset this little one. As long as he is fed and getting attention from someone he is good to go. Cross your fingers that we have a "go with the flow" in this bunch. It would make for the perfect balance in our family (and mommy won't have to plant a tree to grow more patience!! okay, maybe I'll still need to do that). :)

We love you Caden! Happy 8 Month Brithday!

Yard Work

Ethan loves his lawn mower and got to mow the lawn with Daddy yesterday. He took the job very seriously! :)

Halloween

Our little elephant and frog had a great time on Halloween. We started off the night by visiting a few neighbors and then met up with friends so the kids could all go trick or treating together. This year Ethan knew what candy was which made the night a little more challenging than last year. He wanted to eat one piece of candy after another and especially loved the M&M's!!! Caden just sat back and took it all in. Next year he'll know exactly what to do!
