Meet "Fish"

What a fun morning we had today. Caden and I got to go on a fantastic field trip with some of our friends from school. The big day started with a ride on the "really, really, really, really big bus" (per Caden). We ventured to a local pet store and were able to see lots of little critters. The visit ended with each child getting their very own goldfish. Caden was so proud of his little fish and had been looking forward to meeting this little friend all week. After our pet store visit we hopped back on the good 'ole city bus. He sat so still during each bus ride and loved watching all of the people around us. Such a big boy!
I love being able to spend some one-on-one time with my boys. I know I enjoyed this day as much as Caden!

Birthday Boy!

Wow! Our little baby is TWO! Where does the time go?!? He's growing up sooo fast and we are grasping at every second. Caden loves to keep up with his big brother and is talking A LOT! He absolutely LOVES playing outside (and actually requests to eat every meal outside) and would play out there all day if we let him. His favorite things are trains, "big" trucks, and tractors! Definitely all boy!
We love our little 'C'! Twos....here we go!!!!

Happy, Merry, Happy

Happy Thanksgiving

Merry Christmas

Happy New Year

Blogging time sure is hard to come by these days. With two little boys who are almost 2 and 4 years old (yikes! I can't believe my babies are growing up!) our house is pretty wild and crazy. But of course, I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's worth every brain frazzling moment! :)
I've always cherished every age and stage the boys reach and always seem to think that their current stage is my favorite. But for real...right now is my FAVORITE! They are interacting so much together and I can see their relationship growing. I love hearing them talk to one another, making up games to play together, laughing together, wrestling, hugging, and kissing. It just warms my heart. I am so happy that they have one another and know their personalities compliment each other perfectly.
I'm also loving that all four of us can enjoy things together as a family. Caden isn't just strapped in the stroller taking in the fun on the sidelines. He can join right in and of course thinks he's as big as his brother. We recently enjoyed a couple of trips to the snow which proved to be a hit with all *three* of the boys! (Of course, I had a blast too!) I was amazed at how well Caden was able to keep up with his brother and didn't want to miss out on any of the sledding action. Here are a few pictures of one of our trips...

We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season! We're looking forward to many fun-filled family adventures in 2010!
Happy New Year!

Hillcrest Farm

This past weekend we took a short trip to Hillcrest Farm in Reedley. Both sides of our families were able to join us and we had such a fun time! There was so much to do and a it was the perfect place for young children. The boys enjoyed pedal tractors, a giant swing, a short hike that included crossing a swinging bridge, an AWESOME train ride, tractor ride, AND a short journey through a corn maze! Whew...what a day. We didn't even make it to the tree house and castle! I was amazed at how much this cute place had to offer. Needless to say, if you don't make it out there this season, you must put it on your calendar for next year! The grounds are beautiful and it makes you feel like you are in a magical place far from home. A little preview of our fun afternoon...
